Our World Around Us topic this term is Japan.
One of the national symbols of Japan is the Cherry Blossom tree. It is an important part of their country's identity - they even have a whole festival dedicated to it every year.
For our Art this week we studied the Cherry Blossom tree. We then re-created our own using sticks to paint with instead of brushes. To add the delicate blossom, we mixed our own paint colours and applied the paint with our fingers.
I am sure you will agree that we ended up with beautiful pieces of work.
